Overview

WebstaurantStore is seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) specialized in Kubernetes (K8s) to join our dynamic team in a remote role available in select states. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing automated solutions for reliability, performance, and scalability of our services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes, implement best practices, and ensure the availability of critical infrastructure while leveraging Kubernetes for container orchestration.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and maintain a high level of service reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy scalable, meet SLAs, and improve service reliability.
• Troubleshoot incidents and problems to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Automate repetitive tasks, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support during outages and incidents.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to improve system throughput and efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
