Job Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for Kubernetes at WebstaurantStore will play a pivotal role in maintaining the operational excellence of our cloud infrastructure. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters on cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Monitor system performance and availability using advanced monitoring tools to preemptively identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with software development teams to enhance system design for reliability, performance, and operability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and infrastructure management.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct post-mortem analyses to develop strategies for future prevention.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems and ensure prompt incident resolution.
• Document operational procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles, with a focus on Kubernetes and cloud environments.
• Strong proficiency in Linux-based systems and networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience in designing and managing CI/CD workflows and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
