Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at WEX is accountable for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SRE best practices to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

• Manage incident response and conduct root cause analyses to mitigate future occurrences.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to enhance product designs and deployment processes.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of human error.
• Design and maintain system architecture for reliability and scalability.
• Document procedures and best practices as it relates to system monitoring and incident management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related area.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
• Solid understanding of network protocols and system architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in real-time.
