Job Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Litera is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of our software infrastructure. This role requires a strong focus on system and application monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing our DevOps practices. The SRE will collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability into the software development lifecycle while also contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our comprehensive monitoring systems and services.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable systems and services.
• Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with software development teams to automate operational processes and enhance deployment practices.
• Develop and regularly test disaster recovery and incident response plans.
• Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Document system configurations, processes, and workflows for training and compliance purposes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and system administration.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Technologies & Tools

The Site Reliability Engineer at Litera will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to AWS for cloud services, Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and visualization, Git for version control, and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
