Wissen Technology is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. This role involves collaborating closely with development and operations teams to design and implement scalable solutions, monitor system performance, and improve incident response processes. The SRE will also contribute to the automation of our infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of applications while maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement production systems with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and respond to incidents to ensure uptime and optimal functioning.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment and configuration management.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance service reliability and support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Conduct root cause analysis for service interruptions and proactively prevent recurrence.
• Implement and manage observability and monitoring solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related IT roles.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
