About The Role

The Social Media Manager for Coinbase’s prediction markets will play a pivotal role in expanding our brand presence on social platforms, primarily focusing on the @CoinbasePredict account on X. This position involves creating engaging, real-time content that reflects dynamic market trends in finance, sports, politics, and culture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming live market data into compelling narratives and interactive content that positions Coinbase as the go-to source for prediction market insights. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams including product marketing, legal, compliance, and creative to successfully launch campaigns and maintain compliance. The Social Media Manager will also develop efficient content workflows, leverage AI tools responsibly, and apply data-driven strategies to optimize engagement and follower growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years managing brand or creator social media accounts with proven audience growth and viral content success, particularly on X.
• Active and knowledgeable user of prediction markets, with a keen interest in multiple categories such as sports, entertainment, politics, and finance.
• Strong copywriting skills with a direct, engaging style and experience creating short-form video content and memes.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly iterate content strategies based on performance metrics and stakeholder feedback.
• Experience managing a daily content calendar across multiple social platforms, adept at responding to real-time news cycles.
• Proficient in the responsible use of generative AI tools, ensuring human oversight to deliver quality, business-ready content and improve workflow efficiency.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the @CoinbasePredict social media account by producing high-quality, original content including memes, commentary, and live market reactions.
• Monitor trends, cultural movements, and competitor activity across social platforms to identify content opportunities and create timely, relevant posts.
• Collaborate with product marketing, product teams, legal, compliance, and creative departments to support prediction market launches and promotional campaigns.
• Develop and refine content processes, editorial systems, and AI-assisted workflows to enable rapid posting while ensuring compliance.
• Formulate and implement strategies to monitor, advise on, and counter misinformation or FUD with both immediate and long-term approaches.
• Analyze social media performance data to optimize content strategies, increase follower base, and enhance engagement across channels.
