About the Role

Quotient is seeking a Software Developer (JAMMEX) to support the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of software applications for the JAMMEX program. This full-time position involves working across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable applications that meet technical and system requirements.

The Software Developer will work closely with systems engineers, application programmers, and QA/test engineers to develop and integrate software components. The role also involves participating in Agile development activities, maintaining technical documentation, troubleshooting application issues, and addressing software vulnerabilities in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and secure code based on system requirements and user stories.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to verify application functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, application programmers, and QA/test engineers to integrate software components.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Create and update technical documentation, including software design specifications, user guides, and release notes.
• Identify and remediate software vulnerabilities to maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity and Information Assurance guidelines.
• Support software deployment and sustainment activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or four additional years of relevant experience in place of the degree.
• At least five years of relevant experience in software development and sustainment.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE.

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements

• Secret security clearance preferred.
• A relevant computing environment (CE) or developer certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer, AWS Certified Developer, or an equivalent certification.
• Experience transitioning legacy systems to modern cloud-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Location and Work Arrangement

• Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates based in Maryland or elsewhere on the East Coast.
• Employment Type: Full-time (FTE).
• Travel: Approximately 10%.
