Job Overview

Next Horizons LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with both development and product teams to define test strategies, design test cases, and enhance the testing framework, driving continuous improvement in our software delivery process.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to analyze requirements and design effective testing strategies.
• Execute manual and automated tests, analyzing results and reporting defects in a clear and concise manner.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Implement performance and load testing to ensure system robustness.
• Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, C#, Python, etc.).
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of tools and technologies including, but not limited to, Selenium for automation, Jenkins for CI/CD integration, Docker for containerization, and a solid understanding of RESTful API testing tools such as Postman or JMeter. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and testing methodologies is also essential.
