Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web and mobile applications supporting critical mission requirements using modern tech stacks including React, Python, and cloud infrastructure

• Build responsive user interfaces, robust backend services, RESTful APIs, and cross-platform mobile applications

• Deploy, manage, and scale secure applications within cloud environments while collaborating on CI/CD and containerization practices

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, support sprint execution, align software delivery with objectives, and remove team-level technical impediments

• Write clean, maintainable code, conduct peer reviews, and ensure secure coding, automated testing, and effective troubleshooting

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, a Master’s with 6-10 years, a Doctorate, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining modern web and mobile applications

• Demonstrated experience working in an Agile environment, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies and contributing hands-on development

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination, alongside US citizenship per contract requirements
