Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer In Test to join our dynamic team at Prelim. In this remote role based in Austin, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies. Your expertise will contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks, improving test coverage, and ultimately enhancing the overall user experience. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help identify and resolve issues while actively participating in the software development lifecycle to create robust and high-quality applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases across multiple applications.
• Implement and execute manual and automated testing strategies to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand application functionality and create effective testing plans.
• Identify, record, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring effective resolution.
• Conduct performance and regression testing to ensure software meets specified requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and best practices.
• Stay updated with new testing tools and strategies to enhance the testing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automated testing.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages including Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technologies & Tools

In this role, you will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to: Selenium, JUnit, Git, Jenkins, and various cloud services. Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, as well as issue tracking systems like JIRA, will also be advantageous.
