Position Overview

SRI Tech Solutions Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Analyze requirements and develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and non-functional specifications.
• Execute test scripts, logging defects and coordinating with developers for resolution of issues.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for test automation, including frameworks and tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and work collaboratively with development teams to improve software quality.
• Mentor junior testing staff on best practices and modern testing methodologies.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance testing processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team discussions around quality and testing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, including 3 years in test automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Extensive experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with version control and collaboration tools like Git or Bitbucket.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong attention to detail.

Technologies & Tools

In this position, the Senior SDET will utilize a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Selenium for test automation, JUnit/TestNG for test framework development, JIRA for issue tracking, and Jenkins for continuous integration. Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes will be beneficial. A deep understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or REST-Assured will also be an asset. Proficiency in version control systems like Git is expected to manage and maintain codebases efficiently.
