This role requires strong Python and Django development experience, along with knowledge of cloud architecture, secure software engineering, and AI integrations. You will collaborate closely with Security, GRC, and DevOps teams to ensure that features are reliable, maintainable, auditable, and aligned with commercial and federal compliance requirements.

- Build secure code that meets FedRAMP and GovRAMP control requirements, including secure coding practices, audit logging, role-based access control, and encryption in transit and at rest.
- Manage and review team contributions to maintain code quality, security, maintainability, and compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with DevOps and GRC teams to ensure features deploy through CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines, Helm, and ArgoCD across commercial and GovCloud environments.
- Improve development processes and software functionality by identifying and addressing technical challenges and developer pain points.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to maintain and support Cyware products across commercial and GovCloud production environments.

- 7–10+ years of Python development experience, including building efficient REST APIs using Django and Django REST Framework.
- Strong software design and architecture skills, with experience designing scalable microservices and applying MVC, object-oriented programming, and design patterns such as Strategy and Adapter.
- Experience integrating Generative AI, REST/gRPC LLM services, AI agents, and RAG pipelines, including vector stores, embeddings, document indexing, and retrieval strategies.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and AWS GovCloud services, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS, as well as multi-tenant architectures.
- Knowledge of enterprise and federal identity and authentication standards, including SAML, OAuth, PIV/CAC, FICAM, and RBAC.
- Understanding of secure coding principles, including OWASP and secrets management, aligned with FedRAMP and GovRAMP controls.
- Practical experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, and MongoDB, including relational and NoSQL use cases.
- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis and Memcached, and message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis.
- Strong engineering practices covering unit testing, debugging, test automation, CI/CD, Git/GitHub, source control, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Django scheduling frameworks, event-driven programming, Python threading limitations, and multiprocess architecture.
- Experience building products from scratch and developing applications that have scaled, including scalable microservices.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and server-side templating languages.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization across multiple systems, servers, and environments, including RBAC and multi-tenant architectures.
- Strong practical experience with scalable AWS environments, cloud services, and application architecture.
- Self-motivation, technical problem-solving ability, and interest in exploring technologies such as AI, LLMs, RAG, and Go.
Preferred Qualifications / Requirements
- 5+ years of practical experience building Django applications.
- Experience with Go (GoLang).
- Experience developing search-heavy, data-intensive, or AI-powered products.
- Experience with Elasticsearch for search, log analytics, or indexing.
