Overview

Blackstone Talent Group is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps team. Job Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers in the DevOps environment, facilitating professional growth and skill development.
• Define and implement best practices for software development and deployment processes, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable applications and services.
• Oversee system architecture and infrastructure improvements to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
• Lead incident response efforts and oversee the resolution of operational issues to maintain service stability.
• Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and operational efficiency.
• Identify and suggest tools and technologies to improve the team's workflow and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Technologies & Tools

The ideal candidate will work with a variety of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, cloud environments (AWS and Azure), containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana), and version control systems (Git).
