Position Overview

The Sr. AWS Cloud & DevOps Architect at McAfee will play a pivotal role in transforming and managing our cloud architecture to support the company's strategic initiatives. Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions on AWS that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Lead the DevOps transformation by developing and enforcing best practices in CI/CD across the organization.
• Collaborate with software development and IT operations teams to enhance operational efficiency and streamline workflows.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring proper maintenance, performance optimization, and cost management.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively manage application and infrastructure performance.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance on cloud-native technologies and services.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• At least 7 years of experience in cloud architecture and DevOps practices.
• Strong expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Technologies & Tools

The Sr. AWS Cloud & DevOps Architect will leverage a variety of technologies and tools, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana, as well as experience with Agile methodologies, will also be beneficial in this role.
