Overview

The Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer will play a critical role in our technology team, responsible for the design, implementation, and management of scalable cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will lead the migration of existing applications to the cloud, ensure high availability and performance, and maintain the security posture of our cloud environment. This position requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with DevOps, development teams, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in cloud technologies and practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on AWS.
• Lead migration projects of existing applications and infrastructure to AWS.
• Implement security best practices for AWS environments to safeguard data and compliance.
• Monitor and optimize performance, utilization, and costs of AWS resources.
• Collaborate with development teams to structure and manage cloud-based applications.
• Automate processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Provide technical support and training to team members on AWS technology.
• Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or related role.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and database management in AWS.
• Experience with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer) are highly preferred.
• Fluency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Technologies & Tools
