Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable back-end systems using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, along with unit tests to ensure high code quality.
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability, ensuring optimal performance under varying loads.
• Participate in architectural discussions to evolve and improve system design and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, promptly addressing issues to enhance system performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to innovate and improve Hopper's backend solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in back-end development, with a strong proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Expertise in RESTful API design and development, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of database systems such as SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
