Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between software development and operations. This individual will be responsible for implementing and managing infrastructure as code, automating deployment processes, and ensuring high system availability and efficiency. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to define, design, and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Automate manual processes and enhance operational efficiencies using configuration management tools.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and scalability of applications.
• Maintain and improve existing cloud infrastructure while introducing new technologies and tools as necessary.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance across all stages of application development and deployment.
• Document processes, and create runbooks and best practice guides for internal use.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents and outages swiftly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), or a similar role.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
• Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of networking and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior DevOps Engineer will utilize a diverse array of technologies and tools including but not limited to AWS for cloud operations, Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and delivery, as well as Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code. This role also requires proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to ensure system reliability and performance.
