Job Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Talentify.io will play a critical role in our technology stack, working collaboratively with software development and operations teams to streamline processes and enhance productivity. This position will involve designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions, automating deployment processes, and ensuring system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), enabling our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to support effective deployment and maintenance of software systems.
• Automate and optimize deployment pipelines using CI/CD practices to improve release cycles.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance product reliability, security, and performance.
• Document processes, systems, and best practices to improve knowledge sharing within the team.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in best practices and DevOps principles.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system uptime and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud computing principles (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior DevOps Engineer will work with various technologies and tools including, but not limited to, AWS or Azure for cloud services, Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration, Terraform for infrastructure management, Jenkins or GitLab CI for continuous integration/continuous deployment, and tools like Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and analytics. Familiarity with relational databases, NoSQL, and network configurations will also be advantageous.
