Overview

The Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for the Back End Shopping team at RemoteWorker CA will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, performance, and resilience of our eCommerce platform. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient back-end services supporting the shopping experience.
• Automate system monitoring, incident response, and deployment processes to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts during system outages or performance issues.
• Develop and enhance infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand, debug, and resolve complex application issues.
• Contribute to the development of SRE best practices and documentation to improve team knowledge and effectiveness.
• Monitor application performance and implement necessary changes to optimize for scalability and efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of networking and security principles as they apply to large-scale systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
