Job Overview

The Senior Software Engineer - Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at CDK Global is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our software systems. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient, and highly available software systems.
• Collaborate with software development teams to embed reliability best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor system performance and utilize metrics to identify areas for improvement and capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive incident response and post-mortem analysis.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system outages and implement preventive measures.
• Assist in the development of reliability tooling and operations dashboards for system health monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and site reliability engineering.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Demonstrated ability in system performance monitoring and incident management.
• Strong understanding of networking, databases, and application architecture.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) preferred.
