The Sr UNIX Systems Administrator at Nemours will play a pivotal role in maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the UNIX environment across the organization. Job Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain UNIX servers and related systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and ensure high availability.
• Implement security policies and procedures to safeguard systems and data.
• Collaborate with application developers to support application deployment and maintenance.
• Manage backups, recovery solutions, and data integrity protocols.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for operational reference.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades to support future growth.
• Assist in drafting proposals for system enhancements and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UNIX system administration.
• Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems, installation, and configuration.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide effective solutions.
• Familiarity with network protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE, Solaris Admin, or equivalent are highly desirable.
