Job Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Calyptus will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure operational health.
• Develop and automate tools for deployment, management, and maintenance of software applications.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to build a seamless path from development to production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to infrastructure, applications, and performance issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for system incidents.
• Establish best practices for security, performance, and disaster recovery.
• Document and share knowledge with peers to foster team growth and enhance organizational capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration solutions like Kubernetes.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and Linux-based systems.

Technologies & Tools

The SRE Engineer will work primarily with the following technologies and tools: AWS for cloud services, Terraform for infrastructure as code, Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting, Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, Git for version control, and Python and Go for application development.
