Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to introduce reliability best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and incidents to foster knowledge-sharing.
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address system performance issues.
• Actively engage in incident management and participate in post-mortem analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and, where applicable, optimize resource utilization and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles in software development and infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• In-depth knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior SRE will work with a diverse range of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, and various configuration management systems. Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tooling is essential to facilitate seamless deployment and integration processes. Experience with scripting languages for automation and reporting is also highly valuable.
