Overview

Zeektek is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Oracle database management, Unix scripting, Python development, and REST API integration. This role will involve designing, automating, and optimizing the infrastructure to enhance the reliability and performance of our applications. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ensure the smooth deployment of applications in a cloud environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and application environments on Oracle and Unix systems.
• Automate deployment and operational tasks using Python scripting and REST APIs.
• Implement and support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in GitLab.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of applications.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve application reliability and performance.
• Document processes, workflows, and system configurations for better knowledge transfer and compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Strong experience with Oracle databases, including administration and performance tuning.
• Expertise in Python programming and automation best practices.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitLab.
