Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Staff Engineer, you’ll shape and scale enterprise automation while bringing generative AI and intelligent agents into production. You’ll solve complex, high-impact problems, lead architecture and engineering standards, and turn promising ideas into secure, reliable, production-ready solutions. This is a hands-on Staff-level role where you’ll build, influence technical direction, and mentor engineers to deliver lasting business value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise automation and AI-powered solutions, including generative AI applications, intelligent agents, retrieval-augmented generation, document intelligence, and AI-assisted process automation, while balancing delivery priorities, operational risk, technical debt, and long-term maintainability
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and AI models to improve automation platforms and engineering practices based on business value, technical fit, and operational risk
  • Lead technical delivery across multiple cross-functional agile teams for enterprise automation and integration initiatives
  • Advise Product Owners and business stakeholders on technical feasibility, backlog priorities, solution design, and delivery strategy
  • Design and guide the delivery of automation services, APIs, event-driven applications, and workflow-orchestration solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
  • Architect Kafka event-streaming solutions, including producers, consumers, message schemas, and integration patterns
  • Define and apply deployment, scalability, resilience, and support patterns for containerized workloads in Kubernetes
  • Establish and govern engineering standards for solution quality and operational readiness, including architecture and code reviews, automated testing, security, resilience, observability, release practices, and resolution of complex production issues
  • Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical coaching, and collaborative problem-solving, fostering a supportive environment for growth and shared success

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 7+ years of enterprise software engineering experience with .NET, C#, SQL Server, REST APIs, JSON, and XML, or 10+ years of equivalent experience
  • Experience building or integrating generative AI, intelligent agents, retrieval-augmented generation, document intelligence, or other AI-enabled solutions
  • 3+ years of experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, or messaging platforms
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or container orchestration technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, integration patterns, and automation frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts, decisions, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within agile teams
