Overview

As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer - Platform at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the reliability, availability, and performance of our platform services. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable platform services and infrastructure.
• Develop automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and reliability through thoughtful engineering practices.
• Identify and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
• Contribute to the evolution of our incident management processes and ensure effective communication during outages.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers in best practices related to reliability engineering and system automation.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support operational integrity and assist in incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep understanding of networking, distributed systems, and database technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
