Staff Software Engineer

Goliath is partnered with an innovative robotics company building AI systems that enable robots to learn and operate in real-world environments.

Bringing AI into the physical world requires high-quality training data and reliable infrastructure. Their Applied AI team builds the tools and services connecting research with production, helping developers collect training data, deploy inference at scale, and integrate AI across the robotics platform.

They are currently looking for an ambitious Staff Software Engineer (Applied AI)

• Build scalable APIs for training data validation, automated captioning, and annotation
• Develop data pipelines and evaluation tools integrated with simulation systems and robot hardware
• Ship production AI capabilities and optimize systems for latency, cost, and quality
• Work closely with researchers and product engineers to build reliable, easy-to-use tools

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial experience building and shipping AI- or ML-powered systems in production
• Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and cloud deployment
• Deep expertise building developer tools, simulation platforms, or game engine infrastructure
• Experience designing scalable pipelines and independently leading technical projects across teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience shipping AI/ML systems at scale
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or research publications
• Robotics experience

Compensation

• $250K–$300K base salary plus meaningful equity
