Get It Recruit - Finance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Software Engineer - Platform (Finance Data) to join our remote work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support our finance data platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and resilient architecture that meets the needs of our growing user base while ensuring the performance and integrity of financial data management systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software solutions that facilitate financial data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with product management and data science teams to define functional specifications and technical requirements.
• Develop APIs and services for efficient data retrieval and manipulation, ensuring high performance and security.
• Lead architectural discussions and code reviews to promote best practices and ensure high-quality code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical aspects and best practices of software development.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our platform competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in financial services or fintech.
• Extensive experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in database technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Kanban.

Technologies & Tools

The ideal candidate will work with a comprehensive suite of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting, Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and data processing frameworks like Apache Spark. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools is also essential to streamline development workflows and enhance deployment efficiency.
