Summary:
Provides adequate supervision within a defined shift. Provides technical expertise and guidance for the section; assists the Technical Director in the consolidation and standardization of laboratory testing. Acts as liaison for the Laboratory and Nursing & Medical staffs. Acting as the Quality Systems Manager for a specific site or area of responsibility, performs and documents QA activities as defined by Laboratory Administrative and Medical Leadership.

Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- M.S. or M.A. or B.S. or B.A. degree
- NYS Licensure required
- MT (ASCP) registered/eligible or equivalent
- M.S. or M.A. - Two (2) years of clinical laboratory work subsequent to graduation
- B.S or B.A. - Four (4) years of clinical laboratory work subsequent to graduation
- Demonstrated supervisory skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in stressful situations
- Ability to work with infectious and/or hazardous material
- Customer focused
ENVIRONMENT
- Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; occasional exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions
