Job Description

About The Company

University Health is a mission-driven public healthcare organization serving patients and communities through a broad range of clinical and administrative services. Its operations depend on reliable enterprise technology that supports patient care, workforce management, financial processes, and essential hospital functions. Working at University Health means contributing to an environment where dependable systems help teams deliver services effectively and where technology has a visible impact across the organization.

About The Role

University Health is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong UKG Workforce Management expertise to support and enhance mission-critical enterprise applications. This senior-level role combines hands-on system administration with technical analysis, troubleshooting, configuration, and project support. You will help maintain production and non-production environments, guide system improvements, and partner with Information Services leadership, vendors, and business and clinical teams.

The successful candidate will bring sound judgment, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to take ownership of complex technical issues. You will support systems that serve a large, multifaceted healthcare environment, helping ensure that applications, integrations, databases, and related hardware remain dependable and fit for operational needs. On-call support is part of the role for assigned enterprise systems.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least three years of experience in systems administration, programming, or systems analysis, along with hands-on experience supporting UKG Workforce Management. Experience with basic and advanced scheduling, timekeeping, and time clocks is required. Applicants should also have experience in an ERP or large enterprise application environment and familiarity with application-related hardware such as time clocks or tablets.

Working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server or Oracle, and experience supporting Windows and/or UNIX operating systems are expected. Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language or technology is required; relevant experience may include APIs, SQL, Visual Basic, ASP/Web, C++, Dell Boomi, or comparable tools. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, and be comfortable working independently while collaborating with technical and non-technical partners.

Experience in healthcare or another regulated environment is preferred. Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as PeopleSoft, Premier, OnBase, or ServiceNow, as well as report writing and data extraction tools such as SQL or Business Objects, is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Administer, analyze, configure, and support UKG Workforce Management and ERP-based applications across production and non-production environments. Monitor system performance, investigate incidents, resolve complex application and integration issues, and coordinate timely resolution with internal teams and vendors. Support system upgrades, patches, fixes, and enhancements, including planning, testing, implementation, and post-implementation review.

Assist with databases, interfaces, data extraction, reporting, backups, and the application hardware connected to supported systems. Work with Information Services leadership and internal customers to assess needs, communicate technical considerations, and contribute to projects and service improvements. Participate in change control, help establish and follow technical standards, and maintain clear system and process documentation. Provide on-call support for assigned applications and contribute to reliable, secure, and consistent system operations.

Benefits

University Health offers a stable, mission-focused workplace and the opportunity to support enterprise-scale technology with a direct connection to healthcare operations. Total rewards include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a defined benefit pension plan, generous paid time off, and paid holidays. Employees may also access tuition assistance and professional development opportunities. The role offers meaningful technical challenges, opportunities to collaborate across the organization, and the chance to build expertise while supporting systems that matter to patients, staff, and hospital operations.

Equal Opportunity

University Health is committed to fair and inclusive employment practices. Candidates are encouraged to apply based on their relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. Employment decisions are made in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
