Job Description
Only applicants residing in TX, OK, FL, CO, or AZ will be considered.
OU Education Services is seeking a Technical Project Manager, Enterprise Systems & Integrations to lead delivery of complex enterprise technology initiatives across our growing online education ecosystem, spanning CRM implementation, system integrations, data lake and data platforms, migration, automation, and AI solutions.
This is a hands-on role that works deeply across both the technical and operational sides of delivery. The successful candidate pairs strong technical fluency with disciplined project leadership: they understand system architecture, integration dependencies, data flows, environments, and testing strategy, and translate that complexity into clear execution plans and business outcomes. They engage directly with architects, engineers, administrators, analysts, vendors, and business leaders, ask technically informed questions, identify gaps and dependencies, and drive initiatives from solution design through production and stabilization. The role partners closely with OU IT on their technical roadmap and leads our CRM readiness and data platform workstreams.
We also work in an AI-forward way. OUES is intentionally moving toward AI-native operations, and we are looking for a project manager who already uses generative AI tools and agents to accelerate delivery and remove blockers. This is a strong plus and a differentiator for this role.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery Leadership
- Lead complex enterprise technology initiatives from discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Build integrated delivery plans that connect architecture, business requirements, integrations, data, configuration, testing, security, vendor dependencies, and deployment.
- Partner with architects and system owners through solution design, connecting technical decisions to scope, sequencing, dependencies, and business impact.
- Maintain command of the technical critical path, surfacing risks to scope, architecture, data integrity, security, performance, or timeline early. Document decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and open questions, and drive them to resolution.
- Use generative AI tools and agents to draft and refine project artifacts (plans, requirements, test scenarios, status reporting, communications) and compress work that traditionally takes hours, applying judgment to validate the output.
- Apply AI to surface risks, dependencies, and data issues earlier, and to keep technical teams and builders unblocked.
- Help establish practical, responsible, well-governed AI ways of working as OUES moves toward AI-native operations, staying current and bringing new approaches to the team.
- Lead initiatives integrating enterprise applications, CRM, student systems, data platforms, communication tools, and third-party SaaS.
- Manage dependencies across REST APIs, web services, authentication, middleware, file-based and real-time integrations, and scheduled processes.
- Review integration requirements, interface specifications, and data mappings with technical teams, tracing workflows across platforms to find failure points and establish clear ownership across upstream systems, downstream systems, middleware, and vendors.
- Partner with business, data, and technical teams on functional and technical requirements, maintaining traceability from requirements through testing and delivery.
- Lead data migration and conversion: mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, exception management, and cutover planning.
- Develop and manage testing strategies across system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression, and data validation, with clear defect severity, ownership, and acceptance. Ensure critical defects and known limitations are visible before go-live.
- Use SQL, logs, reports, and API outputs to validate issues and support problem-solving.
- Develop implementation and cutover plans coordinating configuration, development, integrations, data migration, testing, access, deployment, and operational readiness across development, test, staging, sandbox, and production environments.
- Lead go-live readiness reviews and ensure rollback strategies, contingency plans, and support coverage are in place; manage post-launch stabilization and transition to support.
- Lead technical delivery across vendors, implementation partners, and systems integrators, evaluating their plans and deliverables, challenging unclear responses, and tracking delivery against commitments.
- Serve as the primary delivery owner across Operations, IT, architecture, data and analytics, vendors, and university stakeholders. Translate between technical and business audiences and drive accountability across teams that do not report to the role.
- Partner with the Senior Enterprise Project Manager to strengthen technical governance and delivery standards across the PMO.
- Maintain high-quality artifacts: integrated plans, dependency maps, RAID and decision logs, requirements, test plans, cutover plans, and status reporting.
- Provide visibility into technical complexity, delivery risk, and upcoming demand to support prioritization and capacity planning across the enterprise technology portfolio.
Must-haves: Leading and managing technical teams, Salesforce delivery experience, and data warehouse or data lake experience.
Required
- Leading and managing technical teams (architects, engineers, developers, administrators) through complex delivery.
- Direct Salesforce experience delivering implementations, configuration, or integrations on the platform.
- Data warehouse or data lake experience, including data migration, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- 5 or more years of technical project management or enterprise delivery experience, with significant responsibility for enterprise systems, integrations, or software implementations.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise application architecture and systems integration concepts, including REST APIs, JSON or XML payloads, authentication, interfaces, and error handling.
- Strong communication across architects, engineers, vendors, business leaders, and executives, with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive complex problems to resolution.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Hands-on use of generative AI tools and agents to accelerate project delivery. We are intentionally building toward AI-native ways of working, and demonstrated practical experience here is a strong differentiator.
- Based in the North Texas / Dallas area.
- Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud, or within higher education, online education, or a university environment.
- Experience with student information systems, ERP, contact center platforms, marketing automation, or enterprise AI solutions.
- Experience managing third-party systems integrators or implementation partners.
- Experience with identity management, SSO, or role-based access; cloud-based enterprise technologies and modern SaaS architectures.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe, or comparable certification. Salesforce, cloud, or data certifications a plus.
