American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU night shift position requiring 2+ years of pediatric experience and float coverage to General Pediatrics and PICU.

• NICU setting within a children's hospital, floating to General Pediatrics and PICU based on census
• Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30
• On-call required every other rotation
• Uses Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Servo U, and Astral Home Ventilators
• Documentation via EPIC
• Medication delivery systems include Pyxis, Accudose, and Omnicell

• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• RRT certification preferred
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, with pediatric experience necessary
• PICU, NICU, or General Pediatrics experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene procedures
• 1 professional reference required (within 2 years)

• Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas interpretation
• Provide respiratory care for infants and children with conditions such as RDS, BPD, RSV, and ARDS
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Previous permanent staff at the facility are not eligible for consideration
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot be added afterward
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
