Web Release Engineer

Sunnyvale, CA | Hybrid | Full-Time | W2 Only – No C2C

Job Summary

We are hiring a Web Release Engineer to manage releases for JavaScript web applications using React or Angular, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. The engineer will automate builds, deployments, rollbacks, and release monitoring while partnering with development, QA, and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end releases for React or Angular web applications.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Deploy containerized applications to Kubernetes using Docker, Helm, and GitOps tools.
Automate build, test, deployment, environment promotion, and rollback processes.
Troubleshoot CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, and production deployment issues.
Implement quality gates, automated tests, security scans, and release monitoring.
Coordinate release schedules, deployment plans, and post-release validation with cross-functional teams.
Maintain release documentation, runbooks, and deployment procedures.

Required Skills

4+ years in release engineering, DevOps, or CI/CD engineering.
Strong JavaScript experience with React or Angular.
Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience.
Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with Git, Helm, GitOps, and artifact management.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Kibana.
