Job Description

The project

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a digital modernization project for a downtown development authority in Colorado. The work covers:

  • Rebuilding two public WordPress websites, one for the downtown district and one for its arts and Creative District, on one shared platform.
  • Setting up a Copper CRM that works inside Google Workspace.
  • Moving and cleaning up about 2,000 contact records and hundreds of business and event listings.
  • Connecting the website, CRM, email marketing and Stripe gift card sales so staff enter information once.

The client is a small, capable team of content editors, not developers. Success means they can run the platform on their own, own every account, and measure results by gift card sales, events and accurate business listings.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the client’s day-to-day point of contact, working directly with their Director.
  • Run discovery: stakeholder interviews, a current-state assessment, and a content and data inventory.
  • Own the schedule, risk log, decision log and weekly status reports. Hold a short weekly decision meeting with the client.
  • Coordinate a CCI team: CRM architect, WordPress developer and accessibility lead, data migration specialist, QA and training.
  • Manage scope against a fixed not-to-exceed budget, and document every change before work changes.
  • Plan the launch around the client’s event and holiday calendar: testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, and a 90-day warranty.
  • Make sure every license, domain and account is set up in the client’s name, and deliver handover documentation and recorded training.
  • Track agreed success measures and report at 30, 60 and 90 days after launch.

What you bring

  • 7+ years managing website, CMS or CRM implementations, including public-sector, municipal, economic development or nonprofit clients.
  • Experience with website migrations: content inventory, URL redirects and SEO preservation, plus data migration and cleanup.
  • Comfort working with small, non-technical client teams: plain language, clear decisions, no jargon.
  • A working understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility. Experience with Colorado HB21-1110 is a plus.
  • Strong written communication. You’ll produce the assessment report, roadmap and status reports.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Copper, HubSpot or another small-team CRM, and with Google Workspace administration.
  • WordPress block editor and Gravity Forms experience.
  • Experience with Stripe or other payment setups that meet PCI card-security requirements.
  • Experience with downtown development authorities, business improvement districts or arts districts.

Requirements

  • You must be physically located in the United States. The client requires all work to be performed from within the U.S.
  • Available 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Mountain Time.
  • Fully remote. Occasional travel to Colorado is possible but not expected.
  • Anticipated start: November 2026, for about 5–6 months of implementation, with possible ongoing support after that.

To apply: send an email to [email protected] with your résumé and one example of a website or CRM project you led for a public or nonprofit client: what it was, your role, and the outcome.
