Position Summary

We are seeking a Windows Server Administrator to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments and supporting IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings 1–3 years of relevant experience (3–5 preferred) with strong Windows Server administration skills, scripting knowledge, SQL database familiarity, virtualization, monitoring, and IT infrastructure support. This role is primarily focused on Windows Servers, with additional responsibilities involving Linux, databases, middleware, security, and infrastructure operations.

What This Person Will Be Working On

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments
• Identify and remediate Windows Server vulnerabilities and support security best practices
• Support Linux server administration and troubleshooting as needed
• Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, VBScript, and batch files
• Write and execute Microsoft SQL queries for troubleshooting and administrative tasks
• Install and configure database servers such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Install, configure, and support middleware and web servers, including Microsoft IIS
• Support VMware virtual machines and virtualization environments
• Install, configure, and manage PRTG monitoring environments
• Support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and access management
• Follow IT change management procedures and document infrastructure changes
• Create and maintain technical documentation, processes, and procedures
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant IT infrastructure or systems administration experience; 3–5 years preferred
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance
• Experience identifying and addressing server vulnerabilities
• Working knowledge of Linux server environments
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, VBScript, and Windows batch files
• Experience writing and executing Microsoft SQL queries
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL installation and configuration
• Experience with Microsoft IIS or similar middleware technologies
• Knowledge of VMware and virtual machines
• Experience installing, configuring, or managing PRTG monitoring
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and IT security best practices
• Understanding of IT change management processes
• Ability to follow established processes and produce accurate technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management, prioritization, and decision-making abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies in a changing environment

Desired Skills

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3–5 years of systems administration or infrastructure support experience
• Experience with Nutanix
• Knowledge of DeviceWise
• Experience with ServiceNow and IT change management workflows
• Experience supporting mixed Windows and Linux environments
• Experience with IT project methodologies and infrastructure improvement initiatives
• Strong technical writing and process documentation skills
• Familiarity with enterprise IT security, vulnerability remediation, and monitoring practices
