Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data pipelines to process and analyze large datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Optimize data models and ETL processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all data management initiatives.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve data architecture.
• Document data flow architectures, technical designs, and processes for future reference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and data engineering.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Data Software Engineer will utilize a wide variety of technologies and tools including but not limited to Python, Apache Spark, SQL, Kafka, and cloud services such as AWS (including Redshift, S3, and EMR).
