How to turn them on, how often they arrive, and what to do when a daily email is not soon enough.

Want new jobs sooner?

Jobareer emails each new posting for your job title as it comes in, not once a day.

How to set up a job alert on LinkedIn

  1. Search for a job on LinkedIn, with the title and place you want.
  2. Switch the job alerts toggle to On. On a computer it is at the bottom of the search results. LinkedIn confirms with “Your job alert was created.”
  3. Click Manage alerts to choose how often the alert comes and how you are told: email, a notification, or both.

In the app the alert starts as daily, by email and notification. Switching the toggle back to Off turns it off.

How often LinkedIn job alerts arrive

When daily is not soon enough

Most applications to a posting arrive in its first day or two, and early applications are the likeliest to be read. A daily alert can reach you most of a day after a job went up. If you want to apply within the hour, you need an alert that sends each job as it is found.
