Overview

Alpha Silicon is seeking an experienced Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices that optimize our development and deployment processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), automate workflows, and enhance system reliability and scalability. Your leadership skills will be paramount in mentoring team members and driving the adoption of innovative practices across our organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead the development and automation of CI/CD pipelines to facilitate faster application deployment.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and troubleshoot issues in the production environment.
• Monitor system performance and implement observability practices to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Establish and maintain DevOps best practices across projects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support for team members.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that can optimize workflows and processes.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance requirements within cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development and DevOps practices.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Hands-on experience in configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

As a Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer at Alpha Silicon, you will engage with a variety of technologies and tools, including, but not limited to, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Ansible, and various monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
