Position: Appointment Coordinator

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Remote)

Pay Rate : $19.50 per/hour in W2

Duration: 3 Month with possible extension

Position Summary

The Appointment Coordinator is responsible for delivering a positive customer experience by answering incoming calls, understanding customer needs, directing callers to the appropriate teams, and scheduling appointments. This role requires strong communication, customer service, organizational, and computer skills to support daily operations at Florida Blue's customer service centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, understand customer inquiries, and direct callers to the appropriate sales, service, or care teams.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage customer appointments using web-based scheduling tools and MS Office.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, customer information, appointment details, and outcomes.
• Respond to emails, manage voicemails, and distribute messages to the appropriate team members.
• Communicate appointment details, time frames, and next steps clearly to customers.
• Coordinate with supervisors and agents to optimize appointment scheduling and staffing.
• Provide excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist customers, including senior citizens, with professionalism, patience, and courtesy.

Required Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional experience, preferably in a coordinator or customer service role.
• Previous experience handling customer calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing appointments, schedules, or calendars.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to use computers, laptops, iPads, internet-based tools, and instant messaging applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and keyboarding abilities.
• Experience working with the general public, including seniors or older adults.
