You will work in a compact, partner led team handling sophisticated landlord tenant and real estate related disputes for repeat commercial clients across Southern California.

The Role

• Act as defense counsel on landlord tenant habitability and related insurance defense matters for property side clients
• Manage case files day to day, including strategy input, reporting and client communication
• Draft pleadings, law and motion papers, discovery and case evaluations in active litigation
• Take and defend depositions, handle court appearances and contribute to mediation and settlement efforts
• Work closely with senior attorneys, gaining substantive ownership and client exposure from the outset

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 4 plus year Insurance Defense Habitability Attorney with:

• At least 4 years of litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense or landlord tenant habitability
• Strong background in landlord tenant habitability defense and property side litigation rather than transactional real estate
• Experience representing landlords, property owners or insurers in habitability or related disputes
• Active California Bar admission and experience in California state courts
• Fully Remote

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to $175,000 base salary depending on experience
• Standard performance based bonus structure
• Target billable hours set at 1,850 annually
• In office 4 days per week with one remote day
