Back End Developer

Payrate: $70.00 - $72.00/hr
 
Position Summary/Job Description:
We are looking for a senior backend engineer who is a strong hands-on coder and can independently design, develop, and deliver scalable backend services for our Marketplace Shopping platform. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed systems, with a strong understanding of system design and production-scale applications. This role requires someone who can take ownership of complex technical problems, make sound architectural decisions, participate in design discussions The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous requirements and should be able to drive solutions from design through implementation and production.
 
Top five skills & Qualifications:

• Java - 10~15 years
• Spring Boot / Microservices - 10+ years
• System Design / Distributed Systems - 10+ years
• Kafka / Event-driven architecture - 3+ years
• PostgreSQL / Relational Databases - Strong working knowledge

Nice to have skills:

• Marketplace / e-commerce Retail experience,
• Spring Cache, GCP, bigquery, performance optimization,
• Experience owning large-scale production systems, and experience working with highly scalable distributed systems.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $70.00 - $72.00/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
