About the Role

Humana Inc. is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to analyze data from internal and external sources and develop insights that help decision-makers solve complex business problems. Reporting to the Associate Director, Business Intelligence, this remote role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and experience with SQL, SAS, or Databricks.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in data analysis, data summarization, and root-cause analysis, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data from internal and external sources to identify trends and support business decision-making.
• Solve complex business problems using data analysis and business intelligence techniques.
• Use SQL, SAS, or Databricks to support data analysis and information processing.
• Apply advanced Excel capabilities, including Power Pivot and data summarization, to organize and analyze information.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to investigate business issues and identify contributing factors.
• Develop data-driven insights to help decision-makers understand business performance and address challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis.
• At least 3 years of experience with SQL, SAS, or Databricks.
• At least 5 years of experience using advanced Excel features, including Power Pivot and data summarization.
• At least 2 years of experience conducting root-cause analysis.
• U.S. citizenship.

Location and Work Arrangement

• Fully remote position.
• Reports to the Associate Director, Business Intelligence.
