Overview

Why We Need Your Talents:

The Cage Assistant Shift Manager is accountable and responsible assisting the Cage Shift Manager in the operation of the cage department on a shift basis. Supervises all cage, and vault/ bank personnel in the performance of their duties to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable gaming experience.

Responsibilities

Skills to Help You Succeed:

Responsible for supervising the cage personnel on assigned shift to ensure accurate control over casino funds.
Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
Manages process and procedures to control and reduce loss time injuries.
Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment.
Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
Development of staff to include training interviewing for hires, performance management to include disciplinary counseling up to and including termination and conducting performance evaluation.
C ompl e te s daily audits necessary for Ca g e opera tions t o satisfy auditing and regulat ory requirements.
Manages department financial data.
Review cage shift activities with Cage Shift Manager.
Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
Ability to extend complimentaries in accordance with the property comp matrix.
Other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves

Qualifications

A f our ( 4 ) - year de gr ee in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or e quivalen t w ork experience in c asin o ca g e operations in a cas i no environment that includes Slot / Slo t machines and Table Games .
Must be able to obtain and maintain a v ali d g a ming li c ense a s d eterm i ne d by t he State Gaming Agency for the position.
Ability to analyze an d in ter pret dep artm enta l ne e ds and re sul ts.
A bili t y to read complex documents and unde rstand state and local tax laws, banking codes, gaming laws and regula tio ns.
Ability to s ol ve compl e x proble ms.

Working Conditions

24/7 high energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employees

Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.

You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
