Job Description

Surgical Tech II – Cardiovascular supports a cardiovascular surgical team by preparing operating rooms and managing sterile supplies and instrumentation for complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and set up operating rooms for procedures
Arrange, maintain, and manage sterile instruments and supplies
Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and cardiothoracic operations
Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique, patient safety, and quality standards
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiology staff
Support team coordination to ensure smooth, safe surgical flow

Qualifications & Skills

Competence as a surgical technologist with cardiovascular experience preferred
Strong knowledge of sterile processing and operating room protocols
Ability to work in high-acuity surgical environments
Detail-oriented focus on safety, sterility, and quality
Professional teamwork and communication skills
