About The Role

You should be able to work across multiple functions, prioritize workload, meet service standards, and handle difficult customer situations with professionalism and sound judgment. A collaborative approach and willingness to provide backup support to colleagues are also important.
Responsibilities
Answer calls to the main customer service number and direct or respond to inquiries in accordance with company standards. Provide customers with general information about claims and underwriting, and handle internal and external questions concerning insurance premium payments, e-payments, and delinquent accounts. Monitor and respond to messages sent to the Customer Service email address.
Log new business submissions and establish new claims based on notifications received by phone, email, or fax. Obtain Dun & Bradstreet (DNB) reports, process loss run requests, and guide brokers to the Producer Portal when appropriate. Train brokers on the use of the Producer Portal and help them make effective use of its features. Make outbound calls regarding potential weather-related claims, as needed.
Provide backup support to other Customer Service Representatives to help maintain consistent service and meet departmental standards. Complete additional duties as assigned and follow established procedures for protecting information, recording requests, and supporting policyholders and brokers.
