In this role, you will contribute to data warehousing, analysis, system development, training, and customer support in a collaborative environment.

About The Role

The Data Analyst will work with stakeholders and technical team members to organize, validate, analyze, and report on data. You will help translate customer requirements into usable data structures, queries, reports, and documentation. Qualifications

A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor’s degree is highly desired. Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience, including practical knowledge of relational database management systems and data warehousing. Proficiency with the Cognos Tool Suite for developing dashboards and reports, as well as experience writing and analyzing SQL queries, is important.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical and mathematical reasoning skills, attention to detail, and sound problem-solving abilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for customer support, requirements gathering, documentation, and validation. Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are also required. Experience with security assessment tools such as Nessus, along with security control implementation and testing, is valued. Knowledge of analytical tools and evaluation techniques is desirable. Knowledge of government accounting is preferred, with Department of Defense accounting especially desirable.

Applicants must currently hold a Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to meet the clearance requirement for this location. The position’s physical demands include lifting up to 15–25 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and periodically twisting, bending, and squatting.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain data structures and tables that support analysis, reporting, and customer needs. Validate data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and create clear documentation of data definitions, processes, and findings. Prepare specifications for online queries and reports, database loads, and data validation activities. Work with customers and team members to gather and clarify requirements, assess data-related needs, and communicate results.

Generate dashboards and reports using Cognos and write or analyze SQL queries to investigate information and answer business questions. Examine products and data issues, identify potential causes, and help resolve problems in a timely manner. Support data warehousing and system development activities, contribute to training, and provide responsive customer support. Apply appropriate analytical methods and follow relevant security practices when working with systems and information.
