Role: DB2 – Databricks Consultant Partner

Role Descriptions:

• Provide senior consulting and technology leadership for enterprise-scale DB2-to-Databricks modernization and migration programs.
• Bring deep expertise across DB2 and Databricks architecture, guiding migration strategy, target-state architecture, design patterns, data architecture, catalogs, security, governance, and performance considerations.
• Lead current-state assessment and migration planning, identifying architectural gaps, technical dependencies, migration complexities, risks, and remediation strategies.
• Define and govern repeatable migration patterns and frameworks covering DB2 object assessment, schema/data migration, SQL and script translation, ETL modernization, reconciliation, testing, and cutover.
• Drive an automation-first migration approach, leveraging accelerators and AI-enabled capabilities to improve migration speed, quality, predictability, and scalability.
• Act as a trusted technology advisor to customer leadership, providing confidence and direction on complex DB2-to-Databricks migration challenges and key architecture decisions.
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to resolve complex DB2 migration challenges involving legacy dependencies, SQL compatibility, workload redesign, data quality, performance, and scalability.
• Establish architecture governance and technical guardrails to ensure consistent migration patterns, engineering standards, and alignment with the customer's enterprise data strategy.
• Collaborate closely with TCS CoE and Practice teams to bring relevant TCS accelerators, reusable assets, automation frameworks, GenAI/AI capabilities, and migration expertise to the engagement.
• Provide thought leadership and executive-level guidance throughout the transformation, while identifying opportunities to industrialize and scale the migration approach across additional DB2 workloads.
