Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Get It Recruit - Information Technology will play a pivotal role in enhancing and streamlining our software development life cycle, employing best practices in automation, monitoring, and deployment. This position entails collaborating with software developers, system operators (SysOps), and other IT staff members to manage and optimize the code deployment process, thereby ensuring high availability and performance of our software applications while maintaining robust security protocols.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Automate and streamline operations and processes using modern DevOps tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and ensure effective deployment of applications.
• Develop and maintain configuration management, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Implement security best practices to enhance system security measures across all levels of systems and applications.
• Conduct performance tuning and provide recommendations for architectural improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and providing guidance in DevOps methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role or similar position.
• Proficiency in cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• In-depth understanding of configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
