Position Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Motion Recruitment will play a pivotal role in enhancing our software development lifecycle through improved collaboration and technology integration. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand system requirements and constraints.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to manage cloud and on-premises environments.
• Guide and mentor junior team members in DevOps practices and technologies.
• Ensure security compliance and implement best practices across all environments.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that enhance our infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with source control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior DevOps Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins, and various monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and ELK Stack. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies will also be beneficial as part of the team's project management approach.
