Job Description

About The Company

EDI Staffing is seeking a technology professional to support reliable software delivery and efficient cloud operations. The team is focused on helping engineering organizations release high-quality software swiftly and confidently while maintaining stable, secure, and scalable systems. Automation, continuous delivery, and dependable operations are central to this work. By improving deployment processes and infrastructure practices, the organization aims to make feature updates smoother for users and support sustainable system growth.

About The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, improve, and maintain the systems and processes that move software from development through production. You will work with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, infrastructure-as-code tools, and container technologies to make deployments repeatable, secure, and efficient. This role involves partnering closely with engineering teams to strengthen delivery workflows, improve visibility into system health, and respond effectively to operational issues. You will help assess delivery performance through DORA metrics and use those insights to guide practical improvements. The position is suited to someone who values automation, careful problem-solving, and collaboration across technical teams.

Qualifications

Successful candidates should bring strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services, along with a solid understanding of CI/CD practices and cloud infrastructure. The core experience requirement is five years in DevOps engineering or a related role. Candidates should be proficient with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and familiar with CI/CD platforms including Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Scripting ability in Bash, PowerShell, or Python is important, as is familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.

A two-year degree in computer science or a related field is listed as required, with a four-year degree preferred. The qualifications also identify experience with enterprise software systems and line-of-business development. Additional preferred experience includes software development, API development, or work in the distribution industry. Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and Agile, DevSecOps, or ITIL practices is advantageous. Microsoft Azure certifications, such as AZ-400 or AZ-104, are also preferred. Candidates should have a sound grounding in networking, security, and system administration fundamentals. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, safe, and repeatable software deployments. Automate infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates. Manage and optimize Azure environments to support availability, performance, scalability, and security. Use Azure DevOps for version control, build and release pipelines, and project tracking. Monitor development, staging, and production systems, identify potential issues, and take proactive steps to resolve them. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment strategies, observability, and incident response. Track and help improve Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and Mean Time to Recovery. Apply security best practices throughout infrastructure management and delivery workflows.

Benefits

This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to dependable software delivery and modern cloud operations. You will work with widely used Azure, automation, and container technologies while collaborating with engineering teams on practical improvements. Compensation, benefits, and other employment details will be provided during the hiring process.

Equal Opportunity

EDI Staffing welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and evaluates candidates based on relevant qualifications, skills, and experience. Reasonable accommodations are available to support qualified individuals with disabilities during the application process and in performing essential job functions.
